He graduated from the University of Banja Luka Faculty of Medicine in 2004, completed his ophthalmology specialisation in 2009 and earned a Master of Medical Sciences degree in 2016. He trained at the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade and Careggi University Hospital in Florence, and was part of the team that performed the first laser vision correction procedure in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2008.
